JESSE MALIN Legendary singer-songwriter Jesse Malin’s new stage show is a coming-of-age story on surviving life’s challenges through creativity. Inspired by the NYC native son’s upcoming memoir, Silver Manhattan is “funny and candid, a slice of a downtown past as gritty as his songs,” writes the New York Times in a recent profile.
Malin’s resilience was tested in 2023 when he suffered a spinal stroke. After months of recovery, he triumphantly returned to the stage, playing a powerful sold out, two-night stint at The Beacon Theatre. The event witnessed fans from around the world gather in support of his journey and his unwavering passion and commitment to his art. After a year of intense physical therapy, Malin, backed by his bandmates, pushes the boundaries of his current limitations on stage. Silver Manhattan is the story of a struggle and all it took to get back through the power of music, determination and transcendence.

From CBGB’s at 12 yrs old to Madison Square Garden and stages around the world, Malin built a remarkable career, collaborating with Bruce Springsteen, Lucinda Williams, Green Day and more. Then, in 2023, everything changed. Malin suffered a rare and unexpected spinal stroke that left him paralyzed from the waist down. When you’ve been to the top, the bottom hits hard.
