CIRCA is a large-scale creation for 7 performers, remixed from three of the Company's most acclaimed works. After lauded seasons in Germany, Edinburgh and London, CIRCA is again on tour from March 2010. Flexible, scalable and capable of playing 600-1600 seat theatres, this is Circa's most accessible and engaging mainstage work - the perfect show to bring Circa's sophisticated sensibility to wider audiences everywhere.

Imagine… Children, parents and caregivers are buzzing in the theatre foyer. Doors open and the audience enters the space. In the middle is a column of light, a single rope is hanging, and it is filled with smoke on which images, colors and textures flicker. There are sounds of old radios, static, foley loops and glitch intermingling. A person enters and climbs the rope. Suddenly we are ON AIR. Projection and light percolate through the air creating ephemeral waves of color and texture to a soundscape of remixed broadcasts and radio waves as Circa takes flight above the young audience in a poetic display of aerial skills in this incredibly rich and engaging sphere.

46 CIRCUS ACTS IN 45 MINUTES

"46 Circus Acts in 45 Minutes" is fast, furious, and fun for everyone. Acrobats bend, fly, juggle and balance to battle the clock. With the incessant mounting pressure of the clock, each act - some ironic, some anarchic, some plain silly and others awe-inspiring - crystallizes into a small but perfect moment. Featuring four cirque talents with expertise in such disciplines as aerial acrobatics, hand balancing, contortion and hilarious clowning, '46 Circus Acts in 45 Minutes' is a zany salvo of traditional and not-so-traditional circus stunts. Circa combines the physically impossible with a poetic sensibility.
